Nowhere, LocoDrum, Radio Huesca and DesdeMonegros

Nowhere 2013 closed its gates last week and it has been another successful event. Sure, this year the weather was not nice in the Ruta Jubierre, with rains, wind storms and plenty of dust and mud – but none of this could have stopped the annual fiesta that sees every year hundred of creative souls traveling to Los Monegros from all over the world!

We’ll publish soon some pictures of the amazing art and performances brought this year to the festival, but we want to shoot a quick post to say thank you to all Monegros artists who actively contributed to this year’s festival. This year we saw a stronger local active participation to the festival than in the previous years, with many participants Aragoneses, from Huesca, Zaragoza and Fraga. Maybe thanks to the presentation we did in Sariñena a couple of months ago?

locodrumsAmong all, a special thank you goes to the peña of the Monegros-based batucada drumming band LocoDrum, who participated to Nowhere’s Saturday night parties with a marching “batucada”.

The boys and girls of LocoDrum went through all Nowhere “barrios” with their drums and percussions, bringing a Carribean taste and beat to the already lively Nowhere night. Gracias chicos y chicas, it’s been a pleasure to invite your group! Looking forward to seeing you again at Nowhere 2014!

Do you want to know more about Nowhere 2013? Here is a good article DesdeMonegros.com published last week (in Spanish)! A thank you goes also to all our friends journalists and bloggers of Monegros, included Radio Huesca / Radio Sariñena who intercepted us last week on the phone for a live interview from the Ruta Jubierre. Gracias!
