Here is my recent DJ set for Burning Bar Berlin, a Burning Man community event organized in conjunction with the first official Burning Man European Leadership Summit – and… my first ever DJ gig in Berlin! I know today Berlin’s sound today it’s all about minimal, deep and other b-pitcheries, but as my first ever DJ gig in Berlin I wanted to pay a tribute to the techno sound that inspired me long, long time ago… so here we go with a full on industrial rave techno set, my personal tribute to the early Tresor days. At the end of September 2013 I flew directly from Burning Man and the DPW tear down straight into my favorite European burners community, at the amazing French Burning Weekend. The three-days gathering, actually held in Belgium, in the woods outside Brussels – same place where a few years ago I participated to the Art in Action weekend – is a brainchild of the mighty French Burners community. More Amphora DJ sets from Burning Man 2013. This time I had the pleasure and the honor of “opening” for one of my favorite DJ posse on the Playa, Space Cowboys. At their “classic” Wednesday party at the Trash Fence Space Cowboy asked for the collaboration of all the top art cars on the playa – including Amphora of course. More than a dozen sound systems blasting the same music being broadcasted live from Unimog, the mighty sound system art car of the San Francisco DJ collective – and I provided the opening DJ set for the entire trip of Amphora till the party location, making sure to pump it up enough so to get the crowd ready for the all-night party mood.
