Today marks the first day of summer, happy Summer Solstice everybody. I don’t have much to celebrate about it, as this summer won’t be happy party times for me, with holidays and friends. It’s gonna be more a sad and sweaty buffer time I’ll need to endure before my next surgery and the new 2-months “residency” in hospital, starting in September.
Today also marks the first month since Davola passed away, last May 21st. So I spent the last weeks recording some music for him, and for you all. I actually recorded plenty of music in the last month, like three 2hrs sets, of which one fully ambient with almost no beats, and another 5hrs set that I really love, but it’s objectively a bit too long, even for me. So I reshuffled times, tempos, playlists and moods, and sorted out a 2h30m set that is more a sound journey than a dj set.
I’ve been listening to it on heavy rotation for weeks, and I hope you’ll appreciate it too. I promise it’s not a sad thing, unless you want it to be. You can definitely dance to it, even when you’ll be hit by massive psychedelic noise waves or rave vibes; don’t panic, they’ll eventually bring you back to blissful moods, just keep dancing. It sounds great on headphones, even better if you blast it from your car stereo while driving. Have a nice summer.
