I’m recovering from surgery at home and I don’t really have much to do, so I keep mixing, I hope you don’t mind. This is probably my most mainstream mix ever, buy whatever… As some idiot in charge would say, “it could be the end of my political career”. But I don’t have a DJ career, even less a political one, so WTF.
I am an underground creature, but sometimes I check the surface to figure out what’s going on in the mainstream. After all, As Above, So Below… I’ve discovered the german producer BUNT. a few years ago, when he started releasing tracks regularly (after producing country folk music), and I’ve mixed a couple of his tunes in my recent mixes.
Check out how I blended BUNT.’s vibes in my mixes in Stutter Beats (2024), Untitled 4 Davola (2026) and the recent One For the Bass (2026), where I blasted his latest banger “Trippin”.
In 2026 BUNT. became one of the latest superstar DJs, headlining festivals and packing major venues everywhere from New York and Coachella to Ibiza and everywhere else. He also grew a massive fan base, mostly thanks to his addictive house-infused big room techno trance drum’n’bass anthems, but also to his energetic, uplifting and euphoric sets. His music, his “actual life” videos and his vibes remind me a bit of Fred Again.. and, like Fred, he seems also a cool guy to hang out with.
In brief, I decided to dedicate a tribute set to BUNT., mixing some of his songs that resonate more with me – I didn’t mix his collaborations with Taylor Swift and One Republic, just to be clear…
So here we go, introducing BUNTINGMAX: Burningmax Plays BUNT., enjoy it! This mix is very Ibiza-ready, so I can say I feel now ready for mainstream Ibiza… But don’t worry, I’ll stay in the underground where I belong.
BURNINGMAX PLAYS BUNT.
The DJ set is on MixCloud but I cannot share it because of a stupid rule from MixCloud, that blocks mixes where there are 5 or more songs of the same artist, while making the set available only to Premium members. Don’t worry, I got you covered with the red internal audio player below. You can also check out, play and download the set as mp3 here, or check out the set directly on MixCloud here – if you are a Premium subscriber, but it’s not needed. Just click play on the nedia player below, and dance.
