Welcome to the Continuum Project.
What is Continuum? Nothing really transcendental, don’t worry… It’s “just” a 10 hours dance journey divided in 10 DJ sets connected among them, and supercharged with recent banger releases (2024-2025) in techno, house, breaks, bass music, trance, plus a few timeless rave classics.
Basically, I have been busy with my health for the entire last year, and even more since this last summer. I totally missed out not only on playing live DJ sets, but also on participating to my favorite festivals. The last DJ set I posted online was from last June, and we are now at the end of November – 2025, in case you’ll read this in the future, or from the past…
Meanwhile, I kept checking out all new releases, and buying a lot of new amazing music. I had too many new killer tunes and bangers that I never put in a mix and really wanted to play, so I finally did. Not live, unfortunately, I recorded the set at studio – but since i wanted to give it a “live vibe“, I’ve also dropped some old rave classics, like I would at a live gig.
One problem: by simply looking at the playlist, it was clear that it would have made a DJ set recording longer than 10 hours. Which is too much – not for me, I have already played live gigs longer than that. it would have been too much to “serve” on one recording. With so many killer tracks, how would anybody discover them all if not dedicating 10 hours of listening time? And, how do you get back to “that massive track“? You’ll have to search for it going through 10 hours of music… a nightmare…
So I decided to create 10 separate DJ sets, of 1 hour each approx, and to “tie them together” by starting each set with the track (or a loop out of the track) that closed the previous set. You’ll soon figure out that Continuum 2 starts with the same track that closed Continuum 1, Continuum 3 kicks in with Continuum 2’s closing track (or just a loop out of it), and so on. Continuum 10, the last set of the series, closes with a loop from the same Jon Hopkins track that started Continuum 01, so the Continuum loop is closed.
