Earlier this week I ended up at the hospital’s emergency room for an acute pain crisis. Nothing serious, but I’ve been severely sedated, and the doctor prescribed me a couple of weeks of absolute rest, and plenty of pills, including very powerful opioids for the pain. So this morning I followed the doctor’s orders and I popped my pills, plugged into Traktor, put the headphones on, and I immersed myself for 3 hours into a psychedelic chill state that I would love to share. Enjoy it, with or without the chemical support! Note: opioid prescriptions are bad and very addictive. Try to keep them at large if you can, and always ask your doctor for alternative pain relief methods, whenever possible. If you really must, then do not abuse. You can definitely abuse dancing, it’s really good for you. I just turned 50 years “young”, so I decided to celebrate by mixing 50 tunes! Well, at the beginning I mixed 66 songs (as for Class of ’66), but the mix was too long, over the 6h30m, and impossible to share it on MixCloud – so I had to “cut it down” to 50 tunes. This is a chillout mix you can dance to, and a dance mix you can chillout to – wherever you spin it, you’ll find yourself venturing often in psychedelic territories, and moving from techno to progressive electronica, to house, dubstep and more unexpected takes. It’s a 5hrs+ rollercoaster trip – actually… are you ready for it? The recording time of this mix is exactly cut at 5.05.05.050 – 5 hours 05 minutes 05 seconds and 050 milliseconds, just to keep up with the numerology gimmicks!!! =) Lay back or dance, and enjoy it both ways! I haven’t played much live this year, but I’ve been stacking up tons of massive tunes. Last month I figured out that I’ve been listening to plenty of great music that I’ve never shared with anybody else, and what’s worst is that I didn’t even tried to pass it on decks. So I said “Fuck it, let’s empty the summer crates on Traktor and see what happens”. What happened was that the selection alone took almost an entire month… and I ended up with three different mix, even if more than 90% of the tunes didn’t made the selection. Bummer. Anyway, there’s enough music to keep everybody happy: 4 hours of relaxing electronica, 2 hours of uplifting dance music, and further 90 minutes of massive beats – music for all tastes! Since the whole idea started with a “Fuck it” (without the hypocrisy of the asterisks), the decision about the name of this multiple studio DJ set was immediate: introducing Burningmax’s F Trilogy! Take it personally or not, I hope you enjoy it.
