I purchase a lot of new music every couple of weeks, and I love to mix it and share it to my friends and followers. But not every track I purchase manages to get in a mix, sometimes some tracks are left “behind”, so I end up finding myself with a few leftovers. The tracks you will find in this mix have been all purchased in 2024 (even though some have been released at the end of 2023) and, for a reason or another, didn’t make it to the previous published mixes. But, as “leftovers”, they go perfectly together, and allowed me to come out with 2 new 3 hours mixes: Leftovers Lunch (mostly happy ravey sounds) and Leftovers Dinner (for a darker dance floor edge). I haven’t played much live this year, but I’ve been stacking up tons of massive tunes. Last month I figured out that I’ve been listening to plenty of great music that I’ve never shared with anybody else, and what’s worst is that I didn’t even tried to pass it on decks. So I said “Fuck it, let’s empty the summer crates on Traktor and see what happens”. What happened was that the selection alone took almost an entire month… and I ended up with three different mix, even if more than 90% of the tunes didn’t made the selection. Bummer. Anyway, there’s enough music to keep everybody happy: 4 hours of relaxing electronica, 2 hours of uplifting dance music, and further 90 minutes of massive beats – music for all tastes! Since the whole idea started with a “Fuck it” (without the hypocrisy of the asterisks), the decision about the name of this multiple studio DJ set was immediate: introducing Burningmax’s F Trilogy! Take it personally or not, I hope you enjoy it. More Amphora DJ sets from Burning Man 2013. This time I had the pleasure and the honor of “opening” for one of my favorite DJ posse on the Playa, Space Cowboys. At their “classic” Wednesday party at the Trash Fence Space Cowboy asked for the collaboration of all the top art cars on the playa – including Amphora of course. More than a dozen sound systems blasting the same music being broadcasted live from Unimog, the mighty sound system art car of the San Francisco DJ collective – and I provided the opening DJ set for the entire trip of Amphora till the party location, making sure to pump it up enough so to get the crowd ready for the all-night party mood. This is the first DJ set I played at Nowhere 2013, literally 15 minutes after my arrival. I got to my camp The Garden of Joy a few days before Nowhere officially started, and the soundsystem was already up, at least in its minimal asset. Welcome to my house. A dreamy, twisted, psychedelic, vintage, uplifting, joyful deep techno house. After all “that noise”, here are 3hrs+ of happy progressive house beats. Sure, I infiltrate everywhere techno, trance and even dubstep, but the overall mood is uplifting and playful, even when it goes into psychedelic sounds. And yes, I dropped a lot of vintage beats, including two or three original tracks from the end of the ’80s and early ’90s. It’s been a lot of fun to mix it all, I hope you’ll have fun dancing to it! I have been inspired to mix deep tech house sounds after following Laurent Garnier in his latest tour, and catching up with gigs and dancing myself to bliss 10 times in one year in Rome, Madrid, Liverpool, Munich, Barcelona and elsewhere, including at festivals like Sonar and the Monegros Desert Festival. I even traveled with friends to Paris for the special night at the Rex Club dedicated by Monsieur Garnier to his fans to celebrate his 25th career anniversary as a dj. It’s been a beautiful epic night, and an amazing party with Laurent Garnier who mixed nonstop for more than 8 hours. That’s my boy.
